ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude while interacting with appropriate internal and external guests and departments
  • Adhere to the requirements of department's month-end closing schedule
  • Experience or knowledge of automated accounting systems preferred.
  • Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts and maintain all supporting documents.
  • Perform all accounts payable (A/P) related activities including, but limited to:

Opening mail, sorting invoices and statements, three-way-matching, data entry, reviewing vendor statements, processing payments, mailing checks.

  • Deep understanding process of Journal entries, debits and credits, and reversing journal entries while preparing month-end closing journal entries.
  • Classify data in general ledger accounts for input to financial data processing system
  • Casino or Gaming knowledge helpful while understanding the categories or types of purchases and/or accrual items occurring monthly.
  • Coordinate monthly payment and some filings for state sales and use taxes and informational returns.
  • Assist in preparation of internal and external reports.
  • Work with internal and external auditors.
  • Discuss and resolve all accounting issues with Accounting Manager and Controller.
  • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures established by Bally's Kansas City and department management.
  • Must be available for regularly scheduled work
  • Other duties as assigned or any reasonable request from any member of management.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelors of Finance (preferred)
